My Last Seven Year Old Hug

While hugging Theren goodnight and saying prayers I said, "This is my last seven year old hug, so make it a good one." Hs birthday is tomorrow.

He squeezes me tight and says, "That makes me sad.  Being 7 was good to me. Can you let go and get another 7 year old hug?"

Of course!  We let go and hug about five more times and he says, "Mom, will you come and get a hug in the morning and wake me up?"

Yeah why?? I reply.

"Because I want to see if 8 year old hugs are as good, and I want you to be the first to get one!"

Oh my sweet, sweet, child, if you only knew how much your spirit fills me with happiness and love.  I cannot express...true innocent love.

Addy's First 5k

You are so amazing.  You ran your first 5k with #gotr from your school.  During the practice, you had a panic attack and were crying afraid your heart was going to explode.  Internally you were so worried about it after your beloved principal died while out for a run.  I blame my parenting for that...I'm not that strong and I probably shared too many of my own fears with you.  However, my beautiful little girl, you persevered and ran the entire final 5k with one of your favorite people, Miss Kat #KatSocial  Your uncle Scott's girlfriend is a perfect running partner with her sweet and calm demeanor.   Addy, I'm so proud of your drive and determination.  Don't stop taking care of yourself!  I could never feel more proud of my apple eatin, 5 k running little girl!
