Kades Silent Night Solo

Dinner

During dinner we had organic turkey wheat noodle soup with cauliflower and broccoli in it.  Daddy cut up red pepper and muskmelon.  The entire dinner you kids sang his praises as a chef.

Adelyn picked up a couple slices of red pepper and said, "Do we have hummus for our pepper?"

Yes honey in the fridge.

Tonight Theren says, "Addy let's have Chobani (Greek Yogurt) for bed time snack!!"

Addy says, "Oh yeah!! Let's put granola in it!!"

Theren says, "Score!!"

Avocado

You were mad that the TV made it look so easy to get the pit out!

Is That in Spanish?

You were showing me your homework and you got this screwed up look on your face.  You said, "Huh, I thought I did so good on this?"  You then showed me your assignment with your teachers grade on top. 

I said, "What do you mean?" 

You then tell me that that mark is your teachers symbol when she likes to cross stuff out but she'll still accept it. 

I look over the paper, nothing wrong nothing crossed off.  I then point out the word ,"Ok." I say, "Theren it's fine, it says "OK."

You look at the scribbled ok on the top of the paper, crinkle up your nose, look closer and say, "Really? Is that in Spanish?

Light of my life #!  Ha ha.

Christians

We went past the house that was completely decorated for Christmas... and Adelyn said those people must be really big Christians.  It fills my heart with gladness to know that my little girl knows the real reason of Christmas.  We don't celebrate to get a cute picture..we celebrate to birth of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Creepy vampire

When I was putting on my eye makeup Kade says to me, "Mom you don't need makeup.  ... you look creepy... I mean you look more um just not natural."

Kade are you telling me that my mascara looks bad?  I wear make up everyday.

Theren pipes up and says, "Mom it doesn't look bad it just makes you look like a vampire."

Really!! My eye make up makes me look like a vampire?

"No but you know how vampires have really white faces...that's how your face looks."

Thank you kids!..I don't wear face makeup.

Sushi

Theren says.., "Mom, let's go to the fresh market and buy some Sush!"

Splash Mountain

You kids are so cool!  I love hanging out with you little fish!  We went to Splash Mountain this weekend.  You were great in the car for the 2.5 hours it took to get there.  Kade...you read the entire time.  Theren and Addy, you both played so nicely in the car with eachother.  Blessed.

Front Seat

I let you sit in the front seat..you looked way to fragile and little... I felt like putting you in a baby car seat.

You looked Sooooo happy and proud. ..free almost...then you started dancing.

Kades Laundry duty

Lol... While helping me do laundry duty Kade (11) held up a smaller pair of my undies and says... "Mom really?? What's the point of these?? What if your pants fell down!"

Adele and Love

My daughter is trying to be a famous singer...so she asks me what genre of music is right for her voice.  I say, "Oh, Addy, anything you like.  You could sing Taylor Swift or Katy Perry."

Addy says, "What kind of music is Taylor?"

My response, "Country..and Katy Perry is Pop.  Why don't you try an Adele song because she is your favorite?"

Addy says, "What kind of music is she?" (Mind you she is 9 years old)

I say, "Adele is ..hmm... I guess Pop music."

Theren my son (7) says..."REALLY MOM??  I thought Adele was love!"

Daddys old neighborhood

Today we were coming home from a dog wash..and Dad asks if you kids want to see his old neighborhood??

Dear Son,

My 7 year old comes in..he says, "Mom. What's a drug dealer?". I say someone who sells drugs. He says, "oh, you mean a pharmacist??" Lol..your innocence and vocabulary astound me.

Tight clothes

I was getting ready to go for a run when the kids came in...this was our conversation. Addy (9), "Mom you should wear your sporty bra for a regular bra..." Theren (7), "yeah your bubs look higher or something." Kade (11), "Yeah mom, you look better in tight clothes." Addy, "Your butt looks smaller." Kade, "But, your thighs kinda look bigger." Me laughing..."ok get out!!!" You kids crack me up!!!

Sledding with Daddy!

I'm super happy when my kids get a chance to experience things with my better half.  I'm a worry wort when we go sledding.  Notice in this picture Addy isn't wearing a coat.  Our dog is practically yanking Theren's arm out.  No one is wearing a helmet.    Mom not there =Super Fun Sledding with Daddy!!

Tonight I took a picture of Theren in his new bed...and in the corner he had a large hanging stuffed animal holder.  This was our conversation!

Theren:  "Thanks mom.  Don't put that on facebook!"
